Colour Wheel

We were tasked with designing an addition to current playground equipment. Our brief was to create an educational piece of playground equipment for children aged 3-5 years old. We aimed to maximise fun and engagement while looking at education from a unique perspective. We aimed to create a learning opportunity disguised as play. We accumulated the insights from research and developed a concept inspired by the pre-school curriculum. Our final concept is a double layered merry-go-round. The top layer has clear colourful bubbles set in an opaque base that has a non-slip coating on it. Designed in collaboration with Andie Judge and Jake Woods.
